| project home mural at 16th Street and Mission in San Francisco |
This mural was painted by hundreds of kids and organized by Creativity Explored and directed by Ellen Rodgers. It used to be 3 blocks away and when they took it down I was very sad. It's a 3d mural and now it's energy adds to the mix at one of the most insane corners in the city. Over the next week or so I will be photographing the entire mural and the details. This is just 20 per cent of it. I think the colors are good, the blue background especially for this particular corner. It's been like this for 20 years. Heroin central and now crack and heroin central. Nine times out of ten you will see a crazy person whipping around like a rag doll on this corner and you just get out of their way. Or it's just people living their lives, waiting for the bus. Who knows why some corners never calm down. If anyone could explain this to me, I'd love to hear your opinion. [ email ] |
